Saved worlds from Minecraft EDU can be shared with others. The instructions assumes that the saved world has been zipped into one file within its own folder.

Step 1 -

Unzip the folder from where it is saved. This can be done on a Mac by just double clicking the zip file. It will extract the zip file into a folder in the same location.

Step 2 -

Open "MinecraftEDU Launcher" from the Applications folder. Select "Open", and select "Open maps folder".

This will open a new folder where the maps for MinecraftEDU are stored.

Step 3 -

Drag the unzipped folder into the "savedworlds" folder.

Step 4 -

Edit the EduRecentMaps file and add a line for the new saved world. Right click EduRecentMaps, select "Open With", select TextEdit.

This will open a text editor. Add the name of the folder you copied to the savedworlds folder. Save and close TextEdit.

Step 5 -

Start the MinecraftEDU Servertool with the new saved world. In MinecraftEDU Launcher select "Start MinecraftEDU Servertool". Select "Settings". Select "Refresh Saved Worlds". Select "Select Saved World". A new window will pop up and it will show the saved worlds you have on your system. Select the one you just added  so that it is highlighted and select "Start Server with Selected Saved World".

MinecraftEDU server should now be running. In the upper right corner it will have "Map name:" and it should have the saved world you selected.
